Engagement Shoot - Gavin & Lauren / by Ivor Karabatkovic

I had a blast in Knoxville with Gavin and Lauren! It was my first time in Knoxville and it's been way too long since I've last seen Gavin. He and I toured together last fall and quickly became buddies. He was responsible for all the awesome lighting on stage.

Lauren and Gavin picked some great locations for us to shoot at, so we spent the evening at the Nature Center and a sunflower field right outside of Knoxville. What a great town- I really enjoyed it. I couldn't be more grateful for their hospitality, either. It was a great weekend and we ended up with some great images!

The Nature Center provided us with some clean backgrounds, while the sunflower field was a blast to climb through and shoot in! So much color and character.

These two were naturals in front of the camera and I couldn't be more pleased with the way the images came out. Their hospitality definitely left an impression with me and I hope to be back in Knoxville before their wedding in the fall!

Here are a few more of my favorites from the shoot:

Dancing the night away..

Lots of laughs - this was our last image of the evening.

These were shot on a Canon 5D Mark II. I used a Sigma 15-30mm lens for wide shots of the field, a 24-70mm 2.8L and a 50mm 1.4 for this shoot. All were shot using available light.

Thanks for checking this shoot out!
