Help Ivor achieve his dream of hosting a photo exhibit,
titled The Quiet of Creation, in his hometown(s).
In a year marked by grief and loss, I found myself reaching for my camera and stepping into nature. Among quiet trails, still waters, and the watchful eyes of wild birds, I discovered the peace Wendell Berry describes in his beloved poem The Peace of Wild Things.
This exhibit is born from those moments — a collection of landscape and wildlife photographs that capture the beauty, resilience, and stillness of creation.
My hope is that it offers others the same sense of refuge it gave me.
Since 2017, I’ve enjoyed photographing wildlife in Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas. I’m looking to share my favorite images from this collection of work in printed format with the world.
Exhibition Goals:
Offer a community-centered experience of art and nature. I’d be glad to host a workshop talking about my creative process, how I capture images of wildlife, how I prepare and print these images, and where I find inspiration.
Make prints, cards, and small items accessible via a Pay What You Can model. My goal for this exhibit is not to make money, it’s to bring people who love art and nature together, and make sure it’s accessible for all to own a piece of my work.
(I’m also open to other cities, but the majority of my network exists in Cleveland and Nashville).
I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, and I want this body of work to begin where my US story began. From there, I hope to share it in Nashville, the city I now call home. These two places hold my roots and my present.
Art for Everyone!
Inspired by the generosity of nature itself, this exhibit will follow a Pay What You Can model. Beauty should never be out of reach, so prints and items will be available at suggested contributions that cover material costs — but everyone is welcome to give what they’re able.
Small, medium, and large prints
Greeting cards, postcards, and bookmarks
Limited edition signed works, Archival quality
I print my own work at home using a high-end Canon archival pigment printer, allowing me complete control over color, detail, and quality. I’m meticulous about every print, from image editing to paper choice, ensuring that anything I offer — whether a large framed piece or a small card — meets the highest standard. My goal is that each print faithfully represents the beauty and atmosphere captured in the original photograph, giving viewers a lasting connection to the work. No AI used.
What I’m Looking For:
-
A gallery, museum, community center, church or other welcoming venue with a decent amount of space.
-
Artist talks, workshops, or community events leading up to the opening of the exhibit.
-
I’m open to partnering with nonprofits or organizations that want to help amplify the exhibit and dream of ways to support a cause, especially related to Refugee care, Foster Care and Wildlife Conservation.
