In 2016, I took a four month trip to Bosnia to scout where I could begin a mentoring program and long-term mission. The trip was a success. I fell in love with my country of birth all over again, found a place where I could serve the people of Bosnia and begin this project.
I was honored to get a glimpse into the lives of ordinary people with extraordinary faith, hope and resilience despite facing many challenges. I left inspired and eager to return again.
After some rest and discernment (and lots of my mom's cooking), I gathered all my experiences and memories from 2016 and began the process of deciding where I should go next.I'm excited to announce that in 2017 I will return to Sarajevo, the capitol of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to begin mentoring aspiring photographers, to document the current living situation in the country and to develop as a servant in the community.
As I prepared for my first trip back to Bosnia, the name Frames of Hope came to mind. It's a name that I feel is very fitting for what I saw in the four months of traveling, for the content I aspire to share and for what's to come.
In the meantime, many people asked how they can stay informed about the Frames of Hope project. There's now an option to subscribe to a newsletter that I'll be sending out while overseas. The newsletter will include news, photos, videos, and important project updates. My goal is to keep you informed, entertained, inspired, and connected.Thank you all for your continued support and for being there from the very beginning.
